Delta-9 THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is a psychoactive cannabinoid in cannabis known for its intoxicating effects. It binds to CB1 receptors in the brain, producing the characteristic "high." Unlike CBD, another prominent cannabinoid, Delta-9 THC, induces euphoria and alters perception. While CBD is non-intoxicating and may have therapeutic benefits, Delta-9 THC is primarily associated with the recreational aspects of cannabis use.
