An endoscopy is performed to diagnose certain gastrointestinal and stomach diseases when other diagnostic methods are inadequate. It is also used for diagnosing & treatment cancer. Basically, It is also used to investigate diseases that have already been diagnosed or to find out what other diseases can be triggered.

Endoscopy can diagnose diseases like

  1. Stomach Ulcer
  2. Irritable bowel syndrome
  3. Chronic diarrhea
  4. Internal bleeding

It is a painless procedure, but local anesthesia is recommended to relieve discomfort. Diseases that have been diagnosed with the help of endoscopy can be successfully treated by antibiotics.
