MRI is a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scan, there is several reasons you need to undergo an MRI scan. It is a diagnostic tool used in examining the structures of the human body. It can also be called an imaging technique, which works with magnets and radio waves to produce a clear, concise, and accurate picture of the bones, joints, and soft tissue of the human body.

An MRI shows much more detail than a CT scan. It can be used for examining a patient with heart disease & may need to have the structure or function of his or her vascular system examined. This imaging scan shows arteries, veins & blockage that may require surgery. This technique is also used to detect tumors in the brain.
